Pre-Order Seven and Five Special Edition Flexi Postcard album preview MDWS007
Playable 5” x 7” 33 RPM Record in Traditional Postcard Format
The front of the 5” x 7” card is a glossy print graphic with vinyl grooves embedded into the image which will play on any record player. The reverse just looks like a regular postcard. Available via the Meadows Me Artist Collective Mailing List.
The X-ray roentgenizdat pressing (otherwise known as music on bone or rock on ribs) is a theme which comes up in some of the Seven And Five songs on the forthcoming album Sound Postcards From Exile. The original machines were designed to create sound postcards but were often used as a DIY method to “listen to the bones,” improvising by pressing records on X-Rays to hear forbidden rock n’roll and jazz behind the Iron Curtain in the 1950’s and 60’s.
Wow! Now that is what I want to see when I have an X ray
Music on bones, this is an X ray of my last visit to the Dr. I think it was a Dr of Philosophy though.
